Cancellation policy

This policy applies to appointments booked with Emilie Hair Studio, including requests made through our website or booking system. By booking, you agree to these rules together with our Terms of Service.
How to cancel or reschedule
Email [email protected] or reply to your confirmation or reminder message. Include your name, appointment date and time, and whether you are cancelling or requesting a new time. We will confirm changes in writing where possible.
Notice periods below are measured from your scheduled appointment start time in the studio’s local time zone.
Standard notice
48 hours or more: You may cancel or reschedule once without a cancellation fee. Any deposit or prepayment held for that appointment will be refunded to the original payment method where practical, or applied as a credit toward a future visit if you prefer.
Between 24 and 48 hours: We may retain any deposit or prepayment already collected for that appointment. If no deposit was collected, we may charge a late cancellation fee of up to 50% of the value of the reserved services, billed to the card or payment method on file if applicable, or invoiced for payment before your next booking.
Less than 24 hours, same-day changes, or no-show: We may retain any deposit and charge up to the full value of the reserved services for the missed appointment time, except where prohibited by law. Arriving more than 15 minutes late without notice may be treated as a no-show or require shortening your service so the next guest is not delayed.
Deposits
When a deposit or prepayment is required for your booking, it secures your appointment time and applies toward your service total when you attend. Deposits are handled according to the notice windows above if you cancel, reschedule late, or do not attend.
Emergencies and illness
If you experience a genuine emergency or sudden illness, contact us as soon as you can. We may waive or reduce fees at our discretion when documentation or circumstances reasonably support it. This does not guarantee a waiver in every case.
Repeats and studio discretion
Repeated late cancellations or no-shows may require prepayment for future bookings or deposit before we confirm a new time. We reserve the right to decline future online booking while remaining fair and consistent with applicable consumer protection rules.
Gift certificates and promotions
Unless otherwise stated on the certificate or offer, promotional pricing and gift certificates are subject to this policy. Lost value from late cancellation or no-show may follow the same fee structure as paid services.
